Barb has been with Qualicum Beach Animal Hospital as a receptionist since June 2020. She moved to the island from Alberta in 2013, and still says it was the smartest decision she ever made. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2018 and up until recently, also ran her own dog walking business.

 

Barb takes great pride in being part of a team that provides exceptional care to Oceanside pets and their people. Barb loves all animals but has a special fondness for retired racing greyhounds. She is looking forward to adopting another one in the near future, pending the approval of her 17 year old cat boss, Cindy. In her down time, Barb can be found banging on her drums and playing music with her husband, walking the beach and forest trails, or working in the yard of her Qualicum Beach home.
